The first time i was asked about going to lourdes I remember saying (stupidly) that i didn't want to go on the diocecan pilgrimage because i thought things like that should have been private...
Anyway a couple of years later i went and the whole experience was far better than i was expecting. And what actually made the pilgrimage was being able to do somthing useful for other people, with a wonderfully spiritual atmosphere and also spending time with the other members of the Lancaster Youth section.
I didn't go to Lourdes in 2008 - because i went to the World youth Day in Australia - but i did miss Lourdes and hope to go in 2009, God willing.
I've been going for a number of years now and I've really appreciated and enjoyed the pilgrimage every time. If anyone wants, they can find my photos from the trip here.
Wont be able to go this year im gutted. due to work commitments.
